Growing Beauty, Cultivating Community…

Every flower planted, every tree nurtured, and every friendship formed helps create a more beautiful and vibrant community for generations to come.

Mission

The LKN Garden Club (LKNGC) is a proud member of Garden Clubs of North Carolina, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. As a federated garden club, we have the opportunity each year to participate in state and national awards programs that recognize excellence in gardening, conservation, civic beautification, education, and community service.

These awards celebrate the dedication, creativity, and volunteer spirit of our members while highlighting projects that make a meaningful difference in our community. In addition, federated membership provides opportunities to apply for grants that support initiatives benefiting both our local environment and the citizens we serve

We are honored that, during the 2025–2026 club year, the LKN Garden Club received the following awards in recognition of our commitment to beautification, environmental stewardship, education, and community service.

Welcome to the Lake Norman Garden Club

At the LKN Garden Club, we believe that gardening is about more than growing beautiful flowers and landscapes—it’s about cultivating friendships, inspiring stewardship of our natural world, and making our community a more beautiful place to live.

For more than 50 years, our members have shared a passion for gardening, conservation, education, and civic beautification. As a proud member of the Garden Clubs of North Carolina, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc., we are committed to promoting the love of gardening while encouraging environmental responsibility and community service. Whether you’re a lifelong gardener, a new homeowner, or simply someone who enjoys nature, you’ll find a welcoming group of friends eager to share ideas, learn together, and make a positive difference.

Throughout the year, members enjoy:
• Educational programs featuring knowledgeable speakers
• Garden tours and field trips
• Hands-on gardening workshops
• Community beautification and conservation projects
• Fellowship with fellow gardening enthusiasts
• Our annual Plant Sale Fundraiser supporting club projects and scholarships Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and gardening experiences, but we all share a common goal—to learn, serve, and grow together while enhancing the beauty of our Lake Norman community.

We invite you to explore our website, learn about our upcoming events and projects, and discover the many benefits of becoming a member. Whether you’re interested in gardening, native plants, floral design, conservation, or simply making new friends, there’s a place for you in the Lake Norman Garden Club.

Come grow with us as we cultivate beautiful gardens, lasting friendships, and a stronger community.
